Amend it

The root of all evil.
[The Congress shall have power] To regulate Commerce with foreign Nations, and among the several States, and with the Indian tribes;
The tyrants in Congress have proven that they cannot control themselves and have abused this Constitutional power. They have been facilitated by the Supreme Court. Take this power away from Congress by amending the commerce clause.
[The Congress shall have power] To regulate Commerce with foreign Nations and with the Indian tribes;
This will cause revocation of all laws and legal precedents flowing from the original commerce clause. Yes that means tossing the baby out with the bathwater. But if that baby is important enough, an amendment to the Constitution can be enacted to reinstate those laws.

Rhetorical questions

Had our Founding Fathers really intended to limit the size and scope of the Federal government, what would they have written into the Constitution to achieve this end?

The following words have been interpreted to not restrain Washington's power.
The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.
Could the 10th Amendment somehow be rewritten to limit the power of Congress?

A century ago, these words meant something. If they didn't, the 18th Amendment would not have been necessary.

Under Obama, Pelosi, & Reid, is there any policy that would require a Constitutional Amendment to implement?
