It's textbook stuff as far a I know. I didn't realize anyone was trying to make practical use of thorium. I do think the article is overly rosy - I don't believe the no waste statements.
Well, a little hot here, a little hot there...
I still want a used rod as a whole-house heatsource/water heater.
I haven't checked my "Chart of the Nuclides" lately, but I have my doubts that Thorium is substantially more green than Uranium. Activation products are activation products and fission products are fission products.
Not that I consider any of that a REAL problem.
